Integrated Management System

R. STAHL has implemented an integrated management system (IMS) for all production sites, which bundles the three ISO standards for environmental protection (14001), occupational safety and health (45001) and quality management (9001) and brings them into a uniform structure.

Thanks to the introduction of common structures and processes and the aggregation of all requirements for all three standards, more efficient management is possible.

It is our goal to deliver products and services that meet customer needs and statutory requirements.

R. STAHL manufactures electrical components, equipment and systems for operation in hazardous areas. Facilities in potentially explosive atmospheres are subject to monitoring in accordance with the Equipment Safety Act and the Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health.

Because of the hazards posed by these facilities, the legislator has issued special regulations for the equipment to be used there. In Germany, the Ordinance on Explosion Protection Products (11.ProdSV) applies, for Europe the Directive 2014/34/EU (ATEX) and internationally the IECEx Scheme - in addition to further national or regional regulations and laws. 

Explosion-protected electrical equipment must not only comply with these special regulations, but also meet strict requirements concerning reliability, functionality and quality.

Lives as well as the safety of manufacturing facilities and systems can depend on the safety of our products. Consequently, quality assurance of the products we manufacture is one of the most important company objectives. With "quality" we mean not only compliance with the requirements of explosion protection, but also compliance with all other requirements of the customer with regard to the product.

The defined corporate policy sets the strategic medium- and long-term direction of the integrated management system. As part of maintaining our IMS, its accuracy is regularly reviewed and adapted to recent developments. The corporate policy shall be binding for all employees of the company.
